Third Grade

Third grade is an exciting year! Here are a few things we do:

  • Mill City Museum Field Trip - A hands-on learning experience about how the milling industry shaped the Twin Cities.

  • Science Museum Field Trip - Extending classroom learning by exploring science themed exhibits.

  • Math - Third graders are introduced to multiplication and division concepts.

  • Reader's Theaters - Children find fun ways to improve their reading fluency while working in groups.

  • Wax Museum - Students research, write, and present a biography. Then they bring the characters to life as exhibits in our "museum".

  • Hands-On Learning - Kids work in teams to create their own animals with adaptations to their unique environments.

  • Experiments - Working in teams to explore the Scientific Method.
