Apply for Open Board Seast Application Closes Feb 11

Central Public Schools has a vacancy on the board due to a recent resignation and will be taking applications from interested candidates from Wednesday, Jan. 29 through Tuesday, Feb. 11. 

Interested candidates will need to fill out the candidate application form and confirm that they are:

  • At least 21 years of age.

  • U.S. citizen and eligible to vote.

  • Resident of school District 108 for at least 30 days.

  • No record of criminal sexual misconduct for which registration is required.

Completed application forms can be submitted by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 11 to the district office at 531 Morse St, Norwood Young America, 55368

The seat will be filled in accordance with the following timeline:

  • Jan. 29 - Feb. 11 - Application Filing Period Open

  • Feb. 11 - Feb. 24 - Board committee will screen candidates and choose three total candidates to interview.

  • Feb. 24 - Board will interview three candidates during the regular February meeting (open to the public) as well as vote to confirm the candidate to take the seat. 

  • March 31 - After a mandatory 30 day waiting period, the new board member will be sat and approved at the regular March meeting.
