Summer Pep Band Rehearsals Announced: Central Pep Band is scheduled to perform for Stiftungsfest on Sunday August 27 at 10:30 AM in the BIG tent. Rehearsals will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church in NYA (across the CHS student parking lot). The rehearsal schedule is posted below. I am hoping to get 100% participation (including incoming freshmen) so we can also be ready for early season games. Participation in this performance will generate points towards lettering in band. Raiders Girls Soccer Carwash Fundraiser Central Raiders Girls Soccer is holding a carwash fundraising event at Carquest Auto Parts in NYA on Sunday, Aug. 20th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The 2023 High School Yearbooks are in! If you already purchased a yearbook you can pick them up on Wednesday, July 26 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. or 4:00-6:00 p.m. outside the Middle School office (if you have any remaining balance, you will need to pay before receiving your yearbook). Any books not picked up on the 26th can be picked up in the library when school resumes in September. The Central Raider's Trap Team had three athletes attend the National Trap Shooting Tournament in Mason, Michigan from July 5-9, 2023, Owen Miller, Hunter Kroells and Jacob Brueggemeier. The three boys did an excellent job representing Central Schools NYA and the Central Trap Team, shooting in the Individual Competition on Saturday July 8, 2023. Owen Miller shot 85/100, Hunter Kroells shot 95/100 (reverse run of 2) Jacob Brueggemeier 95/100 (reverse run of 19). Jacob qualified to shoot again in the Individual Finals, where only the top 400 of 1718 were able to shoot. During the finals Jacob shot 92/100 for 335th overall of the 1718 competing athletes. There were 19 perfect scores of 100 during the Final Competition and it took 169 birds to determine the overall winners during a shoot off.

Jacob Brueggemier shot at the National High School Clay Targets tournament in Mason, Michigan. There were 1800 kids at the tournament, Jacob placed 330 overall, competing against kids from across the Country! Way to go Jacob!

Central Schools offer healthy meals each day. Starting school year 2023-24, we are joining Minnesota’s Free School Meals Program. All students can get one breakfast and one lunch free of charge each day at school. Although no application is required to receive this free meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important! Your child(ren) may qualify for other benefits like reduced fees at school. Your application may also help the school qualify for education funds, discounts, and other meal programs.
