The Central High School Yearbook Staff asked local Veterans to come to Veteran's Park to have their picture taken so we could honor them in the 2021 Central Yearbook. This community answered the call, 21 Veterans, showed up! It was an honor to have so many heroes attend the event.

A QUICK NOTE FROM MR. DAUGS TO ELEMENTARY FAMILIES:
As the end of the year approaches quickly, here are a few notes that should prove valuable for families.
1. We will be having our annual track and field day event on Thursday, June 3 from 11:30 until 2:00. Parents are welcome to attend, but we do ask that you stay with your child's group as much as possible and avoid entering the building unless it is an emergency.
2. Friday, June 4 will be a half day. The first round of buses will be dismissed at 11:30 and the second round of buses will be dismissed at 12:00. Parent pickup will use the same staggered pattern as we have used throughout the year starting at 11:30.
3. Many families have borrowed a Chromebook or hot spot throughout the year. If you have any of these devises at home, please send them and their chargers back to school this week.

Friday May 14 is MENTAL HEALTH DAY at Central Middle/High School!
Mental Health Day is a day for students to "take a break". This time of the year students have a lot going on , we want them to be able to have a day to take care of their mental health and not worry about school for a few hours.
We will have two food trucks on site for students to purchase treats from (Elephant Joe's and Cookie Dough Bliss). Other activities for students to participate in include: Bingo, Bean Bags, Giant Jenga, other yard games, the GAGA pit, tables to Zentangle/Coloring, a gardening station, and a Zen garden station. We also have a few students bringing in animals!
Additionally, Central will have resource stations for the students to get information about mental health resources (NAMI, LIVIN foundation, SAVE, MACMH, Sexual Violence Center).
Mental Health Day is planned by PEERS, with the help of other student groups.
